Hey friends and lovers of all things with big round ears!
If you know me, you know I love to plan Disney trips. I love taking my sweet pumpkins there and watching their adorable faces light up with joy and magic. Really. I do. And if you really know me, this is REALLY surprising. Because I HATE crowds and I’m terribly impatient. I was actually really surprised the first time I went to Disney and loved it so much.
But as my husband points out every.single.time. I plan a trip, it appeals to my extremely anal retentive nature. That is not to say we don’t have flexibility and my kids are miserable as they are dragged from place to place. But when we are able to ride a ride 5 times in a row and walk right on each time because of my AMAZING (if I do say so myself) ability to plan ahead, then, well, it is all worth it.
We are hoping to go again soon, either this August 2013 or January 2014. So as I plan, I can update this page with all of my favorite Disney planning resources. Which you will find very helpful. If you are like me. If you aren’t like me, you might just glance over this to see if anything strikes your fancy. And follow my Disney Pinterest page, I have found lots of adorable things there!
Some of my current favorites:
Touring Plans – My first stop for planning. I can check crowd levels for any day I’m planning on going. Helps me pick my parks for the day so I can plan ahead with my ADRs (Advance Dining Reservations). Created by the authors of The Unofficial Guide books. Which is an amazing book to start with. Helps you decide where to stay, eat and play.
Passporter – Great forums to search and join to get real, on the ground information. Get great tips and suggestions from members who have traveled to the park. Whether it is your first or 50th trip, you will find great info here. It is updated regularly and they do a great podcast. I have listened to a lot of the podcasts. Great when you are on the treadmill. This website was created by the authors of the PassPorter’s Walt Disney World guide. You can purchase the book on the website and it is a GREAT tool with full color maps, check lists and tons of photos. They have pockets so you can take the Passporter’s guide into the park and it is your go to resource to keep on top of your game.
DIS boards – Lots of news and forums with up to the minute information. I haven’t used this forum as much, but it is a really great resource.
I will be updating this page regularly, so bookmark and check back often!
I’m leaving you with this photo of pure, unadulterated, teacup joy! These are the moments that make every penny, every hour spent planning so very worth it.
